PHILIPSBURG--Emilio Wilson BV, comprising the alleged heirs of the late Emilio Wilson, was back in court with Government over an appeal against the 2007 Island Council decision to deny the company a permit to develop Emilio Wilson Estate. According to Government’s lawyer Bert Hofman, Emilio Wilson BV had substantiated the appeal because it believed Government’s denial of the permit was out of context. However, he said Government had denied the permit because the company had never made it clear who the actual owner of the property was at the time the planning permit application was submitted. Birthday Tribute to the late Emilio Wilson on his birthday Friday August 28th. 2009.

The Emilio Wilson Estate Foundation, along with the St.Maarten PRIDE foundation, The SXM Heritage foundation, the Emilio Wilson Historical and Cultural Park foundation hosted a Birthday Tribute to the late Emilio Wilson on his birthday Friday August 28th. 2009.
The foundations found his unmarked grave in the Cul de Sac cemetery and had a head stone made and his grave beautified in honor of the man that left a piece of his property as a Park for the people of St.Maarten to enjoy as a green open area.

PHILIPSBURG - Friday August 28th 2009 would have been the 98th birthday of the late Emilio Wilson. He was born on the 28th of August 1911. To mark the occasion, four groups decided to come together to fittingly mark the place where the late Emilio Wilson is buried in the Cul-de-Sac cemetery. The organisations are the the St. Maarten Pride Foundation, the St. Maarten Heritage foundation, the Emilio Wilson Estate Foundation and the Emilio Wilson Historical & Cultural Park Foundation.[More....]
