Glen Hodge no longer a suspect in the Beaumont murder case
PHILIPSBURG - On Wednesday May 27th 2009, suspect Glen Hodge was released form police custody. Glen had his detention extended by the court of first instance on St. Maarten on May 20th 2009. However this Wednesday, Glen Hodge was released and is no longer a suspect in the murder investigation of Marco Beaumont who was shot to death on May 1st 2009.[More....]
Meeting to be Held on Implementation of Franco Dutch Treaty.
SMNN - Philipsburg: --- Commissioner of Aviation Affairs Sarah Wescot Williams said the management of the Princess Juliana International Airport and the executive council has a meeting to further discuss the implementation of the Franco Dutch Treaty. She said the PJIAE requested the meeting since they need to look at the introduction of the policy.
Residents to clean Union Farm this Saturday
PHILIPSBURG - Union Farm residents and other volunteers will be cleaning their neighborhood this Saturday, May 16. Dutch, French Commissions discuss Franco-Dutch Treaty
GREAT BAY –A high level delegation of Dutch St. Maarten join their French counterparts on Wednesday for discussions on the Franco-Dutch treaty. This marks the first meeting of the Steering Committee on the Franco Dutch Treaty in its official composition. Members of the French commission which were said to have attended the meeting include Prefect Dominique Lacroix, wholead the French delegation. The Dutch-Antillean Steering Committee Franco Dutch Treaty delegation went under the leadership of Lt. Governor Franklyn Richards leading a attending the meeting, which was held i n the Claude Wathey Legislative Hall.
