Mullet Pond Mangroves Video

SXM Pride informed us that the Mullet Pond coalition, consisting of Epic, Oceancare, SXM Pride and Nature Foundation aims to protect the Mullet Pond from development as one of the last remaining Mangrove colonies in the Simpson Bay Lagoon.
They have made a video called The Last Stand which can be found on YouTube, it shows the beauty of the Mullet Pond as it still is. Make sure to watch it and leave a comment and rating.

Thank you for posting this link on your page. I hope your readers will take this opportunity to learn about this important habitat during this five minute movie. Mullet Pond represents over half of all the mangrove trees in St. Maarten's Simpson Lagoon and is currently under threat of being destroyed to make way for a mega-yacht marina, waterfront homes, and private docks. Please speak out against this type of unsustainable development. Let the government know that we say "yes" to the redevelopment of Mullet Bay Resort but "no" to the destruction of Mullet Pond's mangroves and sea grass. Sign the online petition, print petitions, write letters, and get more info at Mullet Pond Coalition.
Thank you, Natalia Collier, President, EPIC
Hello,
I watched the video right away; I give thanks that some people still care about our beautiful island. Nice job & please keep us "up to date" about the developpement (hopefully non-developpement) of Mullet Bay pond.
I wanted to leave a positive comment on youtube but it said something like "adding comments for this video has been disabled"?? Any reason for that?
Anke.
