Dear Volunteers of the SXM PRIDE foundation,

On this coming Sunday, there will be grand cleanup at the Belvedere housing district. The Belvedere area consists of more than 400 homes. PRIDE is asking all volunteers to come out and help with this cleanup.

This cleanup is organised by the Belvedere Residents Association, the Sint Maarten Housing Foundation and the St.Maarten PRIDE Foundation. We are asking that residents cleanup around their own district, they don't have to venture far, there will be trucks and pick ups picking up the bagged trash. Windward Roads will be donating some heavy equipment to help the resident's cart away their old fridges,
washing machines, and other heavy old appliances.

Our volunteer job will entail standing under the tents, and handing our t-shirts, rakes, gloves and trash bags.The cleanup is from 8am-11am. and the groups are urging the residents to come out and help their own neighborhood as well as contributing to a neighborly spirit by meeting their neighbors and having social contact. The reason that this community cleanup is on a Sunday, is that the Seventh Day Adventist Church will be giving a hand, and SDA church observes Saturday as a day of rest.

Please wear your PRIDE t-shirt and come out to give a helping hand, the main tent will be set up next to the SDA church in Belvedere, this will be the main tent (post 1) that will serve all the other tents that are to be set up in the various sections of the
neighborhood.

Thank you for your past volunteer work with PRIDE and hoping to see you once again this Sunday from 8am-11am in Belvedere. I have invited some members of other community councils as well, this is because the resident's group would like to have more contact with other groups in order learn about other community groups so that they can move ahead in making Belvedere a safe, secure and beautiful neighborhood.
