Red Pond estates - Enviroguy

I would be very interested to hear Green Voice's opinion on the proposed destruction of Red Pond by the Aquarius development.

It's alll very well making a press release about chemicals in chocolates which is a possibility, but what about the real enviro destruction on the island.

Why did your magazine take an ad from Cupecoy Yacht Club? Or do you not consider destruction of mangroves, dreging and filling in of the lagoon destruction of historical monuments a reason to refuse?

Just how tied is your magazine to the current administration which has shown little or no regard to the environment when issuing permits to developers?

I look forwards to some answers.

Opinion doesn't matter... decision makes sense! We at the SXM Green Voice Foundation do not make a decision regarding the direction of the island, when it comes to "development". The destruction of Red Pond Estate or any other Estate/wet-land effect us as a community. We rather be dealing with issues we know at hand, and not those we read in the newspapers. Those who are talking about those issues, knows about those issues, because they have been invited either by the developer or the facilitators. We work in association with the SXM Green Voice Foundation, and we hope you understand such.
What point are you trying to make? That Green Voice should be dealing with your issue of concern, we believe your using the wrong forum... since this is not Green Voice's web-site.
Like you state, an AD is a mean to sustain the production of the magazine so, an AD is merely an AD. we'd rather take an AD that is paid for than go after a protest for an UNDERTABLE deal with the developer, like some you ENVIROGUY's... Once again... we're trying to create awareness on Environmental issues, affecting SXM.. but we don't make the decisions! ... Get in touch with any of us on a personal level... via phone... via e-mail or our publisher....we'll be happy to talk to you!
