Dangerous Friends

Kevin 16, has a new friend. But friends don’t snare friends do they? I guess Kevin knows that an iguana can be aggressive, maybe that is why Kevin tied the iguana’s sharp front paws. He should also be worried about it's teeth.

Does anybody know how many iguanas are left on St. Maarten? Did someone do some research here on St. Maarten? It is a fact that there used to be many more in the past, but most of the iguanas were chased caught and eaten. How many people keep iguanas as pets? Iguanas are wild animals and are not easily trained and can become very aggressive. But is Kevin also aware of the salmonella that reptiles carry with them and the diseases that can be spread? Not only reptiles but handling any kind of animal needs a certain level of hygienic care and approach

Iguana’s can make people sick because they carry salmonella as stated here in this website so extra hygienic care should be administered.

Kevin, you have your freedom so now try not to be selfish and give back the freedom to this impressive creature. It is simply your choice; you can become a negative dominator or a real positive friend of animals.

Geno Lawernzi, you should know better, we hope you do now.

More information on iguanas can be found here and here and here and here.

focus not on kevin but on Geno Lawrenzi

Your focus is on kevin, he does not know better. You should be badgering Mr. Lawrenzie for the stupid senseless story as if it is such a great thing what Kevin is doing. Maybe Lawrenzie himself does not know better, maybe he thinks this is just the way to portray locals, like savages.
First of all, Kevins mother should be ashamed that her son is displayed in the newspaper without a shirt, looking like a thug. ... holding a wild animal as if he is a wild savage himself.
I hope that Lawrenzie realises the next time he sees people with iguanas and turtles, he does not glorify them but try to educate them.

The above post was partially written by someone else and I should have edited better, I was in a rush. The intent is to inform Geno, as we don't really think Kevin is likely to see this. Maybe his friends will though.

Positive attention for Kevin and the iguana
Anonymous (not verified) | Mon, 2006-08-07 08:48

It is good to focus on Kevin, because he is still young. A good choice now will have a positive effect on the rest of his life. Hopefully Kevin will get to see or hear about these websites about iguanas maybe someone can print it out for Kevin, he might learn something positive about the iguanas and other good stuff in life. Kevin still has a whole lifetime in front of him. The frustrated old man who took this picture of Kevin must have made some very bad choices in his past and wants to take others down with him. So why not focus on the young guy who needs positive attention and not on the old guy who brings negativity every where he goes. He will only be pleased to get so much attention. Better not play his game at all. The youth needs more positive attention and things to do. It has nothing to do with young or old but it has all to do with positive and negative. So focus on the good things in life!
