Some of you may have noticed my, shall we say 'dissatisfaction', with the Today Newspaper, I think Geno has. This little poem entitled Shadow People appeared yesterday, I think it was aimed at SXM PE.

I think it is, I could be wrong of course, but if it is then it means Geno reads SXM PE. In which case this post is written for his attention. He seems to think Shadow People are out to dig up dark and dirty secrets about him, his poem even implies he has some, but really, I'm not that interested, whatever they may be.
Sure, there are questions about his and other Today staff members legal status on the island, particularly how they got their work permits as journalists when Leonard Gildarie was unable to. The public also have every right to know who is behind editorials and content because this sort of crap only serves to keep people ignorant and dumb. As a progessive and liberal, the Today is my opposite.
Now, I will happily concede that the Today does have some fine reporting, it occasionally breaks important stories and issues, often on the front page, the fact none of them seem to get followed up is a problem though. But, imbedded in the newpaper is a foundation of religious conservatism, the same kind that put G.W. Bush in power and led the world to the state it is in now. Further, the Today is owned by a prominent and loyal DP Party politician, although the Today currently appears to have more in common with Janchi Leonard's Party.
I'll finish off with the latest dumb Today Editorial from this past week.
You know what I wonder? I wonder if people who think like this ever wonder if God even exists. Oh, but then they would have to face mortality, that there is nothing after death. Their only hope is that the Rapture is coming. How depressing and sad.

This dogs name is actually Indy and is owned by the guy running the Segway tour thing on the Boardwalk, he and his wife rescued it from being attacked by other dogs some months ago.

Now he is reffering to this "dancer" aka as hooker,stripper,female escort as a "proffessional dancer" from SXM? The TODAY should consider giving Geno his own trashy paper something like the OUT N ABOUT only once a week.
I love the fact that you have started a Geno stupidity blog, comedy at the expense of stupid Americans that come here, work here with obviously no papers (I would love it if Geno can prove to us on this website that he has working papers) but Gilderie had to be detained and deported because we did not need foreign journalists anymore.
Our politicians like the Geno stupidity I guess, he doesn't bother them with tough questions, he does not investigate.

Maybe when Geno said professional dancer, he meant professional lap dancer, which is professional in a sense, I mean she does get paid for it plus tips I'm sure. :)
The girls at Golden Eyes and Platinum are not hookers, just lap dancers. The 'Entertainers' at places like Seaman's Club, Defiance, Case Blanca, Petit Chateau and other similar places are.
Kruder, lets not get nasty or personal on the guy please. I'm going to write a blog post in the next day or two and share some thoughts about the proposed moritorium on journalists working permits. I am not comfortable with this plan at all.

What gives you the idea that Platinum and Golden Eyes are not sex clubs? Because they do not have beds? Well I got news for you my dearest friend, the lap dances are not only lap dances but for more money one can get more just sitting down. Or standing up for that matter.
I can tell you are not a frequent visitor to these clubs, (good thing). These girls from the former Eastern countries and their club owners pimps are pretending that they are dancers, they receive a permit for dancing for 3 months but the entire island knows the truth. it has gotten so far that pimps without a club are operating girls, men have 3 or more women that they take out to Bliss and other night clubs and they offer to men.
A customer may also take out one of the girls from Golden Eyes on a date for more money, of course the customer pays for whatever he wants. I only wish that we had more investigative reporters giving this trade on SXM more attention. There is a sex trade here that is not spoken about, and to top it off, prostitution is illegal. Trust me, there is a lot more to the sex industry here than meets the eye.

Not a frequent visitor to any clubs, though I have met and chatted with a few girls from both GE and PR that I have met through friends. I have always had the impression and I think it's mostly true, that many of the dancers in those two clubs do not prostitute themselves, however, like with anything, money talks and they do latch onto good customers, going out on dates with them out of club.
I suspect you are right in that there are some girls that come to those two clubs that do and that there are pimps operating, selling their services.
But compared to the others, Seamans, Defiance etc .......
There is certainly sex tourism here, for those who would like to learn more about it I suggest taking a look at this forum.
