One side of the story..

I'm still not totally convinced about the "facts" about global warming. Even though i believe the average global temperature is rising, i have a gut feeling that a couple of these scientists are alarmists. Remember, scientists need to convince to get fundings for their researchs. These posts tend to be very one-sided and it's very difficult to have a very broad view of this matter. Why not post some articles about the media-frenzy effects on this topic for example ? Just so readers of this site can try to see the whole matter at hand.

I'm convinced

The only people who seem to be denying GW seem to be in the White House. Be sure to watch to 60 Minutes video about the WH distorting scientific reports. The concensus amongst all top scientists is not just that it is real but that we may be approaching what they call the "tipping point". I trust scientists far more than I do politicians and for me, the WH has no credibitily on the issue at all.

The Tipping Point is the fear that certain prime organs of the worlds environment will collapse, for example the Gulf Stream. The addition of fresh water into the sea from melting ice effects how the circulation works. The melting of permafrost is also releasing methane, something that will grow as more of it melts.

I don't have time to go more into it right now, but I will be adding news and articles that support my point of view. You are very very welcome to post links here in the comments that support your scepticism and I will make sure that they get put in the list.

I added two new stories above today, now we have the top expert scientists on the issue from the US and UK both ringing the alarm bell. Are they alarmists or just trying to get peoples attention with facts as they see them? I have no reason do doubt them, do you?
