Commissioner Frans Richardson announces stimulus package

PHILIPSBURG - On Friday afternoon Commissioner of economic Affairs Frans Richardson announced that the Executive Council had approved the project proposal ‘Marketing Stimulus Program’ for St. Maarten totaling over NAF 4. The financing will also help with the Island's plans for marketing the destination St. Maarten. During a press conference on Friday Commissioner Richardson stated that in the Closing Statements (Slotverklaring) of November 2, 2006, the SEI was given a crucial position regarding debt relief and acquiring country status.
