Doing Dick
![]()
So many things to write about, yet it's so difficult to get my head around them, every time I want to write something about the police force and security something new comes up in the news. I came to to conclusion some time ago that Minister Dick is just that, a dick for several years now he has been promising all sort of things and yet here we are today with things pretty much the same as they always were.
Police staff still unhappy and him claiming to be unaware, again, some officers wanting to leave and return to Curacao, the Chamber of Commerce trying to move its own plans for camera surveillance forwards because Dick is obviously doing nothing, and now bidding for new cells in Simpson Bay while the ones in Philipsburg remain unfinished. From the news articles it seems this time they plan to be a bit more careful who they award it to.
Below is a collection of news on all these stories, feel free to discuss :)

Remember that guy, Donger, that they hired to reforming and coach the police force. Apparently he is treading carefully, and quietly and I almost forgot about him, he gave a yearly report a couple weeks ago.
Dongor hopes to talk police through change
Oh and Panneflek is currently hanging around with little to do, waiting on Dick to decide what to do with him, it's known Dick has personal issues with him and I wonder if he is letting it interfere with his job, and thus also our security.
I think Dick is useless, time and again he promises to fix problems and come with solutions, yet here we are, pretty much the same as always, an understaffed, underfunded, undertrained and poorly managed police force. One day we will get it fixed I guess, but I suspect it won't be done by Dick.

Em, Monsieur Dick is busy stuffing himself.
He hasn't got time to think about trivial things such as how to guarantee people's safety and say, the installation of surveillance camera's in critical areas.
Hello? he has to eat nutritious food continually because you never know when the next opportunity to have a good dinner will present itself, just think of the disasters that could happen... oilprice too high for containertransport, hurricanes and swine flu making all import and export impossible... he's the only one who realises!
And he's so right; I'm glad I'm offisland :P
But seriously though, are we implicitly ordering an extra can of Marechaussee people from Holland?
XOXO
Where the #!*! is Dongor? I mean last year this guy is hailed as the turn-around manager/coach but since then all we get is one report? Come on! That just doesn't cut it for someone who probably is paid royally for sitting pretty. WHERE IS DONGOR?
Last week several police officers have voiced their discontent of the SXM management and want to leave to Curacao. WHERE IS DONGOR?
VKS officers have complained that there is a serious problem with offices being demotivated and are ruglarly calling in sick, when they know VKS officers are working their shifts.
WHERE IS DONGOR?
Bringing back the so-called 'machets' (dutch military police) is good for the residents (more patrols/checks etc.) but does nothing to bring back morale / work ethics at the force. This is something the top cops need to restore, so again: WHERE IS DONGOR?
