SXM Island Times - PHILIPSBURG - Most of the Down Street jetty has already taken shape. The jetty, next to Sea Palace, will help to even out the flow of cruise passengers into town, especially when the larger cruise ships such as the behemoth Oasis of the Seas starts calling here in December.
The new jetty, set for completion in August, will become the third point along the Great Bay beach where cruise passengers can disembark to explore Philipsburg to shop, lounge on the beach or connect to other tours and activities. They disembark at Bobby's Marina and Captain Hodge Wharf, at present.

*snip* - Another major impact of the jetty is that property values in the area, already one of the priciest on the island, are expected to increase.

Yes indeedy!

Wondering who owns the property and for how long!

I haven't been to the Kadaster to check, but reliable sources tell me that Theo purchased at least one property, perhaps more, right in that area where that new jetty is going. Of course, some might consider this some sort of 'insider trading' and might even question if this new Jetty, which Theo obviously knew was planned, has been located according to who owns properties in that area. Shame on them I say to suggest such a thing could happen here!!
Oh, and the Gas station mentioned in the Belvedere Community Center story is rumored to be a Roy Marlin Enterprise. Funny how these things go eh?

Mojo

My Dad keeps singing that horrid election song in the shower... all he remembers is this: 'Teeeeeeeeeeeeooooooooo...' and then he imitates the steeldrums I guess... I always tell him in the morning he should definitely do something with that musical talent of his. :S
I'm a fervent believer he's the next St Maarten Idol...

Anyway, I've got to get back to packing, the States awaits :-)

XOXO
