Who owns what?

Who owns the concrete businesses and other related stuff.

We don't really want the GEBE blog by Caribdude to get hijacked by a discussion about concrete, so here's a new post to use instead. :)

Please feel free to share information you may have about the business interests of our politicians, all parties, and other top public officials. Please be sure to provide as much information as you can to support what you say too. I expect readers and users to use their own judgment in this respect and to treat anything that is not supported by evidence as unconfirmed. Please comment and support or correct information posted that may be wrong.

If only we had a Code of Conduct eh?

Does the lack of reactions mean that it is only hearsay, gossip, "school children say" ? The purpose of this blogposting by Flipper is to make an reliable inventory of interests, businesses, investments etc by our dear commisioners.
I like gossip, but for now I think it is time to put every commisioner and island council man under the miscroscope. We heard about tank stations, concrete companies, shipping agencies, buildings, villa's but everything remains vague. What we need is facts.

I am a Vancouver British Columbia resident who is trying to uncover the St Maarten social structure. So I expected to find URL's to the local newspapers without success however. Having the Dutch/Canadian nationality and dreaming of moving to your island a little information would help.

You help me maybe we can go as far as checking out the chamber of commerce?

There is only one newspaper that puts news online and you will find nothing there to help you. I suggest you try google - st maarten economic affairs - you'' find plenty to get your started. - Flipper
