Of course she will be re-appointed, Sarah is not stupid. If she does not, Maria will hitch a ride with the NA leaving the DP in a minority.
This is not about the greater good of SXM, this is a power struggle. Sad. Reading this blog it occured to me that Maria has several spin doctors or is it just Michael Granger spinning for his and Eddy williams 'favorite" Commissioner? Granger will not have a job if his boss is out of office.
SXM is starting to resemble most countries in Africa, poor, corupt and selfish leaders, dirty, landfill fires polluting peoples health and the environment, senseless crimes, a people and government with no morals, no self respect, rules and regulations are thrown out the door, leaders do not believe they are accountable and the people just sit back, play dominoes under a tree and enjoy the charade while the island sinks further down to hell.

First of all let me state that I'm not Mr. Granger and I'm also writing in this blog to support Maria. Secondly let me correct you by stating that Maria WILL NEVER join the NA. Did you miss the Island Council meeting on how the NA chastised Mr & Mrs Buncamper. The honorable commissioner would rather be an independent council memebr in the opposition that join the NA. The reason Sarah isn't sacrificing Maria is because the only one benefiting from that move would be the NA. That's the poitical reality if you didn't know. Thirdly believe me that I'm still and will continue to be a committed Maria supporter. The lady cares for the country and also works hard for the country. Next election her vote count will sky rocket through the roof and she will carry the DP party. TRUST ME on that one.

So you think she has NO supporters outside of her inner circle? This is typical opposition thinking and why opposition is always shocked that DP continues to win. Forever misreading the people. Maria had 499 votes last election. I support her cause I believe in her.

Thats not spin. Opposition always dismiss comments from supporters as spin jobs. We are real and out of just the 499 supporters don't you think a few has found their way here. Kinda shallow to assume that she has no support. I assure you that she does.

a Maria voter and DP supporter STILL!

The commissioner has just returned from being off island and already she's busy with the people's work. (listened to the press briefing) The change manger is working and no noise. The telecommunication policy passed and will save all the abuse by the piggy backers of TELEM.
DP has more ennemies inside (Mickey Ferrier and his crew) than the whole NA. The NA have shown the people of St. Maarten that their whole beef with Maria was pure jealousy because of her work production and her vote getting ability in the future. By not having come with their dismissal motion they showed how serious they really were. When they bring it I will consider it a BIG joke.
That's why MARIA will be reappointed without any hick ups, and by god she deserves it. The woman works for this country unlike many others on both sides of the fernce.
