We have been long time visitors to SXM--like over 40 years. We love the island and everything about it, but the last 2 years of overbuilding, huge traffic jams, having to plan ahead to run a few errands or know you will be gone for hours
has all become too much . This year we will think seriously about selling out and finding someplace else. The charm of the island has been buried--under concrete.
First we stand by and allow the commissioner the take on our enviroment and then our water supply. Now he's planning on restructuring our taxes. God help us all.
If the commissioners are as irresponsible as we know they are, then why don't we have a special election and elect them out of office.Before it is too late. Do we have impeachment laws for an entire cabinet?I feel for the next government, they will have so much shit to clean up and probably Holland will step back in and realize that this government is no where near the task of taking responsibility for Coountry Sint Maarten, they can't run a Dutch Territory much less a Country.
