The fact that his step-son and step daughter up and left should speak volumes!!! anyone who works for him gets reeled in with his bullshit and end up either not being paid, being sued,or extremely pissed off!! That man is out of his mind. I also hear that NY Sotheby's was going to come down and take away his franchise. He has no money to continue it...I hear stories from the current agents and the stories are sad and pathetic. Such as agents not being paid, trying to trick people out of their deals, and lying to their own agents about what they have!!! Romac is a SAD SAD story!!!

Get use to it, it is just the beginning. All the high end that is being built and with no one to sell the (Sell who, the market is down where the money comes from and the French aren't going to live on the Dutch side.)and of course with the Governors new ruling on N.V.'s there will be a mass exodus within the next few months. Too bad. It seems as though Sint Maarten is heading for a transient Island. One year passes is just enough time to screw the tax man, needless to say anyone gettting community involved. So, so sad.

Don't worry too much, that final bill might have been a small price to pay under the circumstances. Consider yourself lucky that you didn't fall for the sweet talk. Several people did leave their secure jobs only to be FIRED weeks later. It has happened enough times so one starts to wonder what the whole thing really is about.

after reading some of the notes in reference to Andie and the various observations and rermarks I want to get some feedback on the following issues:
a. What must I do when some one owes me money and do not want to pay. Obvioulsy he will do it to others as I cannot post his name in the papers or on this site in order to protect others of being hurt. Sure I can go to a lawyer but if I (small man) dont have the cash to do so what must I do????
b. My civil rights have been violated by a member of the Police Dept.What must I do?
c. Government does not respond to none of the correspondence i sent to them. What must I do?
d. Government overcharge and I it takes years for me to be reimbursed. What must I do?
e. I am threaten by a third party and he tells me that he dont care if I go to the police because he knows the procedures. What must I do?
g. My wife beats me up. What must I do?
As you see there are many problems out there that need to be solved and I recommend anyone that writes on this site to also make recommendation how we can solve these problems. In order to solve some of these problems we need to put pressurre on the system. Dialogue help some us of but the majority
out there need real assistance. Let us work together and come with recommendations how we can solve the problems. Let us look for a lawyer who is willing to consider reasonable fee's for court cases. We can call them "trial" cases and we keep the outcome as reference for "others".
Let us work together to make Sint Maarten A Better place.

and I think maybe Flipper should just escape to the open waters when he is ready. Maybe he's been too long in captivity. LOL

Not trying to cause you competition, Flipper, but just a fun blog about how it is living here... the good, the bad, and the ugly.

I published your comment basically because not doing so would only make you think you made an accurate guess, plus I also wanted to respond to it.

Many people do seem to think Jadira is behind this site, having spoken with her about it, we figured to just let people think what they want. Anyone who knows Jadira will know that her computer skills are rather limited. The more confused people are about my identity the better, if you want to obsess about it, be my guest, but id's are not important on a blog, what is said is. This site supports several foundations and causes, SXM Pride just happens to be the only one that dares to come here to post their info and make comments.

For your information, Flipper may be killed off in a fishing accident, or caught by Dolphin Discoveries, sometime after the new site gets launched. The site is now run by a group of people who have administration access and several new writers are lined up for the new sxmpe.

As for information. Perhaps you have not realised, but if you create a sign in name you too can write a blog post, using the page option. When the new site gets launched in Oct this will become much much easier, anyone, including you, will be able to post blogs and if you do a good job or write about a subject that is topical and creates discussion it may well get promoted to the front page.

Also, perhaps you have heard of email? We get plenty and people share information with us in them. And just like journalists, we protect our sources. Again, it is the information that is important, not who is giving it.

So, think what you like, there are many people now behind this site and your guess is rather funny. believe it or not, but Jadira and her spouse have nothing to do with this site except she comes here to post info about sxm pride now again, and we support her foundation.

Comments like these makes blogging very ugly. Instead of discussing the issues, and provide the accurate information. People become personal, they want to know who is who, and much more who they sleep with are only a few of the needless personal attacks made here. Who the heck cares who is Flipper. The mere fact that the issues and points he/ she raised are important is what should matter. Whoever it is that wants to know who Flipper is, look in the mirror you might see him or her.
As for Jadira and her husband, being the ones that created this site. If that is the case so WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH THAT? ARE THEY NOT CITIZENS OF THIS ISLAND? AND DOES IT MEAN BECAUSE HER HUSBAND IS A LAWYER THEY DONT HAVE AN OPINION? YOU NEED TO GET A LIFE OR A BLOG OF YOUR OWN.

Obviously some interested in the real estate crowd think I might know something they don't know? This blog story was written by some berniezboyz, not me as I write under my own name. And who cares anyways? I refuse to play into the intimidation and fear game that many fall victum to on this island. What I miss on this site is intelligent and smart debate about the serious issues affecting St.Maarten and the rest of the world. Seems that my local compatriots and foreign bussinesses are only interested in the gossip, finding out who is behind a very informed site, they read, but are dead afraid to write and add a intelligent voice to serious debates.
It is only myself, Larry, Barbara, Soon and OPsilos write using our own identities, why is everyone else hiding behind a blog name? Because they will be intimidated just like I have been approached several times by persons trying to send me "messages"

I am sorry, but I do not understand your reply. I am not familiar with this guy Andy and the things he did and is doing. Therefore I asked for more information about sinking ships etc. Also about the 3 things you mentioned in your reply (liens, consruction halt, laying off of people). Maybe I am not long enough a resident of this island, but this was new to me. When you - as it seems - consider this all general knowledge, well, leave it like this. But do not expect me or other people to react on "rumours" (as you caled it) any longer.

Don't you people have anything better to do than waste time trashing other people on this site? Someone told me about it, and this is the only reason I'm responding. I have been a sales associate for Romac for 7 months now.... and am very happy and very successful at what I do. I do my job well.... and don't rely on others (or the Sotheby's name) to guarantee me that success.
I have nothing but praises to say about Johnny Leitner, Jason Leitao, and Andie Richardson.
It is a shame that you former sales agents could not make a go of it.... but you have no one to blame but yourself.

There aint any remodeling going on. To me that shows there is no money coming in, so if this company is doing so well why don't they finish what they start?

Today I saw for rent signs on the fence around the ruins of the former Romac office. Clearly they forgot to update the address on their website.
Is the Romac candle guttering and about to go out?

I've worked with Andie for some time now. He pays me on time and does what he says he's going to do. I've got to say-if you would spend half as much time marketing real estate properties as you do typing up negative things about others "anonymously" you wouldn't have time left in the day for your rants. Didn't any of you ever learn the age old adage -if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all? Good/bad, right/wrong take it up with an individual or in a court of law.

If your names were in your posts (which they don't appear to be) I'd be wary about doing business with any of you. There are two sides to every story, and any time I've been privy to any dispute between two or more parties they are typically both/all at fault to some extent. Again, I'd worry about dealing with any of you professionally or personally based on the fact that I know if there's ever an issue not only do you not take any responsibility personally for having any part in a failed relationship, but you will go so far as to air your grievance publicly. I'm fairly certain none of you are perfect, and that there are instances, issues, and business/personal dealings you're not 100% proud of. None of you would like it if people blogged about your success or lack thereof. I won’t call you cowards for not adding your names and hiding behind and alias internet handle, but I will say what you’re doing while it may seem cathartic is more damaging to you than Andie. I hope you receive this in the manner in which it was intended- constructive criticism, and not just criticism.
