Following the island culture and tradition of unaccountabiliy, Roy Marlin continues to bring us the success stories that bring tears to our eyes. Never mind that GEBE is paying SOGEA (French water co.) 5 Euros per M2, costing the island (GEBE) almost $300,000 from Dec thru Feb already. Seeing as this will continue until Dec, I think it would be safe to say the loses incured by Roy's mismangement will cost the island possibly up to $2 million.
I guess it is only one and a half years late.

While Today Editorial seems to be sure about Barendson's desire to do a good job, we should remember he has a contract worth almost $80 million over the next 10 years to do so, (we assume,, the final contract has not been made available.
When you add in the garbage mess he handed on to Theo, costing the island 10's of thousands of dollars to pay contractors to clear it all up, and still we await GEBE to be instructed to start work on a sewage system for the island, over 2 years after it was decided they should do it and not Roy's prefered choice Intaquin.
We have also learnt that the Airport does not have any cistern, a ridiculous and shameful situation for which people should also be held accountable, the rain runs down into the gully under the road to the lagoon. Have you seen the sprinklers in the gardens? The ones down by the Sucker Garden road roundabout were on a few days ago too, watering the road again. It had rained heavy the night before.
I wonder who got cut off that day?
