Loor Commits Internal Fraud—Made False Declaration on Housing--- Was Police Chief Sleeping

Detained Police Commissioner Marcel Loor.

Philipsburg: - Federal Detectives are now conducting investigations into the alleged internal fraud committed by detained police commissioner Marcel Loor.
SMN News has been reliably informed that Marcel Loor made false declaration on his living whereabouts.

Normally Federal Civil Servants received rent allowance for their living accommodation, but these workers is expected to declare when they are no longer renting house, so that the rent allowance would be stopped. In fact, these officers are expected to make sure their files are up to date with all relevant information.

Loor who was living in his own home is St. John Estate was collecting rent allowance from the Windward Island Police Department for a home he claimed to live in. However, the police commissioner rented out that home to someone else while living in his own house. Meaning he is collecting two sets of rent for the same property illegally.

Chief Prosecutor Taco Stein confirmed that the information was turned over to him on Friday. The investigators are now looking into the internal fraud that has been committed by the senior cop. If it is proven, that Loor defrauded the federal government Marcel Loor will be slapped with charges of fraud Stein said.

The information Stein said was supplied Friday by the Lt. Governor and Chief of Police Franklyn Richards. What is not clear is if Chief Commissioner of Police Derrick Holiday knew of the internal wrongdoing committed by Loor, and how long ago Holiday was aware of these illegalities.

The cash strapped police department has been fleeced by a greedy cop who manipulated the system to his benefit. Not only was Loor involved in corruption outside of the police department but he also defrauded his boss, which is the Federal Government.

The question now remains if the island top cop Holiday who is part of the justice committee was sleeping on the job. On the other hand, did he purposely give Loor too much rope of preferences?

According to information reaching SMN News, the Minister of Justice who is presently on St. Maarten is contemplating removing Chief Commissioner of Police Derrick Holiday who started his yearly vacation.

The Minister who is on St. Maarten attending several meetings is yet to make an official statement on how he intends to deal with the Police Department since the Loor scandal broke.

Detectives are also looking into the allegation of police brutality committed by Loor against many victims, mainly a woman who claimed she was having a sexual affair with the former immigration head.

SMN News understands that many seniors, even those with higher ranking than Holiday saw the footage of blatant brutality committed by the police commissioner against a woman and no actions were taken against the former immigration head.

Also in circulation is a letter sent to the Lt. Governor, Chief Commissioner of Police and Attorney General that indicated that Loor was involved in wrongdoing, since 2004. The writer of the letter requested that an investigation be conducted, but that too was ignored.

The Judge of Instruction on Friday extended Loor’s pretrial detention to another 60-day. The detained police commissioner has been charged with forging of immigration documents, money laundering, and accepting of bribes.

The detained police commissioner who is represented by Gibson Associates filed an injunction at the court of First Instance on Friday asking that his detention be suspended. The case will be heard later this week; presently Marcel Loor is detained in the sick cell of the Pointe Blanche Prison as he won a case against his transfer to Bon Futuro Prison in Curacao.
