The letter which has a letter head of Cor Merx LLM, legal services, Interim Management, and Collections, Security Matters, which is located at 35 St. Rose Arcade Philipsburg states that his client Mr. Rulisse Etienne started working for her father as of June 1986 and in return the man would receive a parcel of land.
According to Merx the woman and her family did not co-operate with the transfer of the land to his client and he is asking that he be notified no later than June 19th 2007 whether or not the family will co-operate with the transfer.
Merx in his letter said that he is willing to make an appointment at the Notary office Schaepman & Speetjens where the woman would have to sign the deed.
The letter further states that if the woman (Peterson) decided to keep the land then she would have to pay Etienne damages, which the convicted prosecutor is willing to discuss. Failure to comply with either of the two requests Merx said he will take the necessary measures to have the woman give what he said his client deserved, at which the woman would have to pay the required costs for lawyers will be at the woman’s account.
Cor Merx who has been convicted last year for the misuse of his power when he tapped his former girlfriend phone and for requesting information falsely has been banned by the Court of First Instance to work as a lawyer in the Netherlands Antilles. Chief Prosecutor Taco Stein confirmed that Merx cannot represent anyone in a court of law, even though he can be present with anyone who may want to hire him as they conduct private business."
So let let get this straight. The courts banned him to ever work as a prosecutor again; They banned him to be an attorney; He is on probation for serious crimes committed while being a prosecutor but the Government still lets him practice as an legal advisor and security advisor. What kind of signal to society is that? Didn't he need to submit a clean police record when applying for a business license?
