Hurricane Season 2007
I've never really understood why the media gives Dr. William Grey and his predictions as much credance as they do, whilst he may be an expert at studying the weather and hurricanes, an expert at predictions he is not. Jeff Masters over on the Weather Underground explains this clearly, the only thing that is reliable about his predictions is that they get more accurate with each update as the season gets closer/older.
Dr. William Grey is one of the few scientists who doubt mankind's contribution to Global Warming, he forecasts that the oceans will start to cool within the next few years. If only his predictions were more reliable.

2005 was a record breaking year, 2006 was a dud, mainly due to El Nino and perhaps saharan dust, which both serve to hinder storm formation. This year we have La Nina, which does not, we also have warmer than average sea temperatures. Here's my prediction for the coming season. Dr. William Grey will have to revise his predictions again, upwards.
