Now there is an eyeopener right? Blame the politicians who gave out permits left and right. Leroy Deweever is running on the same list with those same politicians. So the blame lies with the Democratic party.
So if any new candidate decides to run with the same Democratic party is in essence saying they support the previous way that things are done. Any new candidate that believes he/she can change the system from within is hallucinating.
If the same leader allowed these type of things in the past and the party still has the same candidates running on the list, it is very unlikely that anything will change. One of the things that William Marlin will have to show the people is his manner of being a correct leader. He should not be seen cavorting with casino bosses as is happening right now. If he continues this way, we know what we can expect.
In my honest opinion, SXM is in dire need of a capable and honest leader of a political party. The PPA leader might be honest but she is not capable as she comes across as not rational at times. Her stance on the slot akkoord will keep her in opposition, she might gain one or two seats, but DP and NA will never join in a coalition with her as her stance on the slot akkord is negative, while they voted positive. There can be no coalition with 2 parties, one for the slot akkord and the other against, especially when this election is the primer for the new country SXM.
So much for Gracita, bad judgement on her part. But getting back to the permits, it is only the DP government who gave out permits left and right without consideration for zoning and the negative impacts on the population.
And Leroy joined the party who gives out permits left and right, meaning he supports their actions.
