St. Maarten Westin and Columbia Sussex - Environmental Criminals? - Part 4

About a month ago, Louis Laveist made some comments regarding the Indigo development at Cay Bay, he expressed some environmental concerns about developments close to or near beaches. Not going to say much, just that I still feel that a Natural Treasure of the island has been destroyed. Water is still washing up against dirt, the previously white soft sand is full of grit and stones. Also I am convinced that the 'embedded road and loss of the pond/rain has led to most of the beach being lost. An Natural Beauty, one of the attractions that brings people to the Caribbean is not just the beach, but the surroundings too.
I can;t imagine staying in this place, it's so cramped. What with conferences, a casino, several restaurants and several hundred guests... yuck! Just my opinion of course... :)
