Hey Observer,

Well, about the brown sea. The difference between 'before' and 'after' the culvert is huge, before the water had the chance to sink into the soil and sand, filtering out the nutirents and sediment. Perhaps there were a few times in heavy rains this would happen, but not everytime and not to this extent. Now the water rushes down the culvert and straight into the sea, giving no chance for it to settle. You are a smart man, surely you are not saying that this hole in the ground works just as well as the natural pond that was there before. Roy may say there was no natural pond, but he talks shit as you know. I have talked with several old St. Maarteners who all say that before the first hotel there was a pond and marshy area.

Then the rocks, tack a look at the photo above in which they are indicated, I am not talking about the rocks seperating the two halfs of the beach, but new ones that have appeared in the middle of the right hand side. When the Profiles video was made, there was 13 ft of sand left between the embedded road and the water, now the water washes up to the road and if you go there you can see that it is causing erosion,

And then the garbage, if you look in the middle of the photo showing the beach, you will see another pile of garbage where water has also washed through the project to the beach. There was a lot of garbage up by Ms B's which came from the site. This is not just something that happens on building sites, this is just another clear example that they haven't a clue or really don't give a shit about the environment, it is irresponsible and it is shameful.

Again though, thats just my opinion, it's ok to disagree on somethings, I think you and I probably agree on more than we don't.
