Do not let Government buy EWE (part 2)
Anonymous (not verified) | Fri, 2006-10-06 14:22

What am I missing here? Why does the EWEF need the Government? I have not read the late Emilio Wilson's testament. Nor am I privy to it. If there is info here online about the contents, I would love to read it.

However, it seems to me that Mr. Wilson wanted the Government to buy the estate. When I was a little boy he always claimed that he would leave his estate for the Queen. If it is his wish that the Government purchase the estate so that it would be preserved and some of his heirs or inheritors benefit from this financially, then it should not be a problem for a foundation to get the necessary funding to make a bid to buy the estate from the executors of Emilio Wilson's last will and testament. A government is for the people and by the people and if the people choose to support a foundation buying this estate instead of (a cash-strapped) government, then I am all in favor of that. My company would glad make a financial contribution towards this end. But I am strongly of the opinion that EWEF should stop wasting time running after Government. Especially this DP led government. They don't need the government. If I am wrong about this, then let me know.
