St. Maarten Private Eye

Photo number six and seven shows how close the pool and that other building is to the water, leaving less public beach. What a mess!!!!! and it does look like they made a road out of dirt as the road looks grey or dark dirt, they drive their heavy equipment vehicules on the beach using a man made road. Where is the local press in this whole saga?
Are they hoping for big WESTIN advertisements? I can understand the meager TODAY newspaper, who have young journalists, not proffessional. But the Daily Herald? What is happening with the Daily Herald these days?
They have not produced one big story that is a catching story in a long time.
Could it be their journalists are lazy? Paid off? Or the management prefers to hook up to the big advertising moguls?
