Our Lt. Governor has plans to introduce electronic voting machines into our election process next year. Yet I do not hear our press or our opposition questioning this move, as they should be.

The most vital and important part of an election is that every single vote is counted accurately, no matter how long it takes. What does it matter if we know the result within hours of poll closing or the next day? St. Maarten has no need to make this move at all and it should be questioned.

This excellent HBO movie is highly recommeded viewing, particularly if you have political aspirations or if you care if your vote counts. The coming days and week will quite probably give you more reason to question E-Voting as we watch the US elections and the aftermath.
