Cupecoy Border Wall
In February last year, Roy Marlin was pressured by public opinion to order a halt to the destruction, by Orient Express Hotels, of what is most likely the historical border wall in Cupecoy. He extracted a "pledge" from OEH that the wall would be restored and the parts that were damaged would be saved.
I'm betting he didn't get it in writing!

For over a year OEH did nothing with the wall, nor did the government mention it. The pictures above appear to show that a road has been carved out, presumably one that leads towards La Samana and perhaps part of the wall's remains covered over. Did they save or remove any of the wall from this area to help restore the rest that they knocked down? Do they still plan to restore any of it? What about the lovely walkway shaded by trees?
Over on the other side, Cupecoy Village is still a little bit of a mystery, but there has been murmurs about a possible commercial shopping mall.

The layout does suggest individual plots, the ones inland are much smaller than the ones along the coast. Perhaps for future Rainbow's and Cliffs?
