De Vrieze testifying will not be in Merx's corner, for sure. Merx was his superior, and he had to follow orders.
As for the Attorney General, if it was verbal amnesty offered to Merx, and there is no letter, no tape proving such, well Bloem has a weak case.
Unless the defendant makes up his own fraudulent case, we will see what he will say when it comes to the early release of prisoners that he did not authorise Merx do do.
Do not forget that Merx already confirmed that he did so without authorisation of his bosses. He made this statement on a Julian Rollocks radio show when he had just come back from Holland to work with Gibson.
On this radio show, Rollocks had the heat up on Merx asking him why he came back ,and he asked him about the alleged letter that came from Piar, a letter outlining the reasons why AG had no faith in Merx anymore.
