Mullet Bay Thread

Recently a partial ruling was made in the Mullet Bay case in which the judge ruled that Sun Resorts had not provided sufficient information concerning the insurance money from the destruction of the resort in 1995 Luis.

As someone who does remember this resort in its heyday, when almost 600 St. Maarteners were employed there, it's a relief finally to see some movement in this case, particulary as it seems to be moving in favor of the owners. Not that I hold out much hope that, when the resort is rebuilt, it will resemble what was there before. Ansari apparently wants to build big block condo style buildings close to the beach.

If there is anyone out there who would be interested in writing a summary of this case and its history it would be very helpful. Feel free to comment or "spread rumors" if you feel so inclined. ;)
