Talking garbage.

Discussions between the French and Dutch sides on plans to develop a joint waste management system for the island will continue on June 5th and 6th in Paris. A solution to the island's waste needs is needed by 2007 said Roy Marlin whilst wearing his Public Works hat.

Consultancy firm TNO/Royal Haskoning will present it's evaluation report on the island needs during this trip. Last year a study was done of the kinds of waste deposited at both the island dumps by the population. Not all the dump people are genuine, some are researchers it seems.

Anyway, a good thing. Late is better than never. But then.... what solutions will be chosen?

Lets wait and see.
