My wife and I just returned from a Cruise where St. Maarten was our last port of call. We are both avid golfers and after researching the golf course, decided to take our chances. Am I ever glad we did. The course is a gorgeous layout with beautiful bermuda fairways. The greens were a little crispy as they depend solely on rainfall for irrigation. We truly enjoyed ourselves and can only imagine what the course was like in its heyday. The woman in the makeshift proshop said that before the hurricane, you had to make teetimes a month in advance. She also said that Greg Norman was at the course last month with his designing team. I would love to see the course get back to the glory days with the casino and condos restored.
