The issue is a serious one. Maybe some may need an interpreter for our island lingo but the facts remain the facts. What I read is that people are being hired without these positions being advertised locally and when they come in they don't have legal documents. They also are making more than the qualified locals while trying to get rid of these locals. Is this the Country St. Maarten that we want? Is this the type of practice that we want? The university should set a proper example or the people of St. Maarten/ St. Martin should call the university board and management to order.
