It is amazing how little grasp he and a few others have about democratic accountability, governance and transparency. In other countries the press would be all over this, but we have a weak and very limited press and all we get is these sort of stories where "Frans says this and Roy says that', no real attempt to find out what's true and the details behind it.
Was the journalist who wrote the story really satisfied with Roy's answer that what he does in his own time is his private business? If that is the case, then I guess anyone who wants to win favors from our political representatives by offering gifts should have nothing to worry about. Just do it in their 'private time'.
