Maria should resign as Commissioner of Telecommunications NOT as a Commissioner or member of the EXCO. Every member of the Island council MUST STOP the politicking and get to working in the best interest of the people.

When an island council can be on the topic of Maria and Telem for weeks...I AM concerned. When will we have politicians who have that 'Barack Obama attitude' by saying " I will talk to my enemies and I will work with my enemies" If both DP and NA can behave in this manner for the love of country, they can truly make this nation greater than it is.

Why shouldnt Maria resign? I think her work up till present is commendable in the areas of Telecommunications itself, Health, Sports and the Economy etc. Maria husband resigned but yet we are still on the page of TELEM. Even her party members talk against her...Well they feel she open up the wrong box at TELEM and so they fraid an investigation goes down but I'm sure she is cleaner of corruption than those who talk of her corrupted even those of the opposition

Maria was elected by the people of St. Maarten not by the NA nor the DP. Let the people be the judges when the next elections comes until then Maria deserve to stay in her seat. However, if she does hint it could destroy her image as a politician she should resign and come back powerful than ever!!! Moreover, a decision must be made very soon for we cannot stay on the topic of TELEM for weeks more again
