With the Opec president warning of no end to oil price rises and speculators speculating on $200 by year end. we hear that GEBE is going to order a new generator before the end of the year. Another $16 million invested in an energy source that we need desperately to be breaking away from.

Frans makes some weak comments about the need for the island to turn towards renewable and cleaner energy sources, but it's lame. Someone needs to ring an alarm bell and be demanding GEBE and the island govt makes a serious energy and development study before this order is made.
