Unlike the dutch spell-checker above I think we should concentrate on the topic at hand--the future of tax collections on St. Maarten. That writer did not contribute anything to the discussion. Their contribution is laughable.
Can't we all see that the island is bankrupt and our politicians are devising all kinds of plans to make money, making all sorts of deals, mortgaging the island's resources, selling the people's patrimony to give the appearance of a booming economy. The fact is there is no money and the way to make money is to overburden the island and its people.
