Glad we have your attention. The spelling errors just highlights the confusion surrounding the discussions on the new tax system for St. Maarten. First, Roy Marlin decides to appoint a group to so-called "manage and reorganise" the tax office without input from the social partners and people of St. Maarten. Now, people are being pulled right, left and center as experts on taxes, without a clue as to what they are doing. In the meantime they have already sent their legislation on the TOT increase to Curacao for approval and ratification. All members of the executive council approved it. The maze is getting thicker.
Note: The actual documents will be scanned and will be place on the site shortly.
