RST Looking at Cordes File--Stein - 28th March 2008

Philipsburg: -- The detective department has asked the RST to look at the file of missing American Leta Lynn Cordes. Chief Prosecutor of the Windward Islands Taco Stein said that the local detectives wanted another sets of eyes to look into the file so that they can finally close off the investigation. Leta Lynn Cordes went missing since January 11 2008. Her husband Frank Cordes said that they were in Grand Case all day enjoying them and his wife was somewhat intoxicated when she returned home. He said that his wife asked him for monies to go over to Westin Casino ton gamble which is about 10 minute walking from his vacation villa. Ever since then Frank said he did not see or hear from his wife.

Ever since January 12 police have used search dogs and searched several areas of the island both French and Dutch sides to no avail.
. The family of the missing woman asked that the FBI and conniver dogs be brought to the island to assist in both the investigation and searches, something they say local authorities have refused thus far.
