SXM is open to anyone to post blogs, you too. When it has been rebuilt in the coming months it will be alot easier to post blogs and they will have their own page, with top rated or best written ones being promoted to the front page. So, one blog post or writer does not a whole website make or represent, we try only to moderate, not censor.
As for the poll, well, users have to sign in to vote, while sxm pe gets over 500 visits a day, there may only be a few comments, sometimes none. This is normal for weblogs, 90% of people just come to read, not to comment and write.
Anyway, in the new SXM PE registered users will be able to rate blog posts and people will have to make up their own minds which writers they respect and trust, and which they do not. Maybe you will want to write something yourself then. GIve it a couple months and you'll see something much different here.
