I looked at the Seven Seas website. Is Seven Seas going to buy over Air Fin? and if so, the millionare will be Roy Marlin not Barendson.
Barendson made his millions already when he sold Enerserve and he was living comfy in Switzerland. Why would an old and retired man come back to hectic SXM to restart a water plant? only if Roy Marlin asked him to with a golden deal of course.
Roy saw what Theo made with the selling of Enerserve years back as Roy was Theo's assistant.
Roy of course wants the same golden deal and he has set himself up so that he can retire handsomely from his stint as a Commissioner.
This entire EXCO stinks and I truely believe that if there was another referenda, the people will vote for being part of the Netherlands, the fact is we have very corrupt people ruling our island and our weak Lt. Governor is also part of their games as he seems afraid of approaching them.
The only time he over turned a EXCO decision was in the casino issue/Spadaro vs.Corallo. Roy Marlin vs. Theo Heyliger. some say he is in the pocket of Spadaro as well. I believe The Governor General was breathing down his back.
Whatever the case, we have corruptable leaders with a female head who acts as if she does not know what is going on, or she refuses to know what is going on. She does this class act as if she has a halo above her head. As another writer put it, she has been the leader for many years so she is first and foremost repsponsible for the direction this island has taken. And that includes the over development this island is experiencing which brings us absolutely nothing except a great loss to the environment and beauty of the island.
People are saying condo sales are down, what they did they expect? it was too many of them badly built and built while destroying beaches, ponds, green areas. Anyone thinks the repeat guests and visitors don't notice that? they loved SXM 10 years ago, when there were beautiful views.
They can choose other destinations in the Caribbean, Florida and Mexico that has the same weather and nice beaches as SXM.
