No surprise here, it´s the same old story, passing the buck and avoiding responsibility for the situation on the island, not just in law enforcement but also in development, education and environment, to name a few of the very serious problems we have.
Personnally, I think it could be time for a new referendum with all the options of SXM´s future relationship with Holland and the other NA islands being offered. I don´t think Sperate Ststus won because people want the island to be totally independant, the main reason it won was because people were sick of being ripped off and neglected by Curacao and the federal system of govt.
