Turns out the pump that broke down is owned by Aquadesign, a company that has been excluded from future business when the AirFin contract kicks in. There is no contract with Aquadesign.
Meanwhile, SXM is purchasing water from the French side at almost 3 times the cost GEBE sell it to you the consumer. Again, the reason for rhe IWAKO report recommending a new plant in Point Blanche is highlighted. All the water for East St. Maarten (Philipsburg side of Cay Hill) is pumped to and passes through the two tanks on the hill, (there should by now be 3 tanks).

Oh well, not to worry if you have a cistern.
