GW...again...
Anonymous (not verified) | Sat, 2007-06-23 14:34

I will preface this with my 'position' on this issue so you don't just throw back a bunch of links at me and say "see. CO2 did it".
GW = real
Caused by CO2 = jurie's out

Just consider this: The fact that so many 'eminent' instiutions and 'scientific' establishments are still in some form of study and debate about the causes of global warming, and the fact that the scientists who 'agree' that GW is 'caused' by CO2 without having produced a peer-reviewed paper to prove it shows precisely that - there is NO 'scientific' 'proof' that GW is caused by CO2 emissions.

Ok - CO2 emissions are not doing the planet any good, the same for the rest of the pollution man throws out, AND CO2 may have 'some' effect on GW - BUT the more likely culprit and the more likely to have such a dramatic effect is the sun....

I couldn't have put it better myself....

"The assertion that global warming is man made is so oppressively enforced upon popular opinion, especially in Europe, that expressing a scintilla of doubt is akin to holocaust denial in some cases. Such is the insipid brainwashing that has taken place via television, newspapers and exalted talking heads - global warming skeptics are forced to wear the metaphoric yellow star and only discuss their doubts in hushed tones and conciliatory frameworks, or be cat-called, harangued and jeered by an army of do-gooders who righteously believe they are rescuing mother earth by recycling a wine bottle or putting their paper in a separate trash can."

(ok - if you google this phrase you'll try to discredit the statement because of the author ie throw the baby out with the bathj water- but that doesn't mean that I can't agee with this particular sentence, even though I may disagree with a lot of other stuff he says - to do otherwise would legitimize classic disinformation techniques)

Ho hum...back to the soapbox I guess.
