Tone @ the Top

SOAB is the organization that functions as the internal auditor of the government of the Netherlands Antilles. Fifteen (I always thought 2010 – 1994 = 16…) years in business and claims to ‘know government’; SOAB has conducted research on how permits were and are granted within the sector ROB (ruimtelijke ordening & beheer/area planning and management). They were requested to do so on the third of February 09 by the ExCo. A year later their 32 page report, with an analysis of the administrative organization of ROB and its internal control measures, appeared.

Setting The Right Example

2009-09-15

Well, here's a piece I thought was rather interesting...
Roy's main perception of being a member of the opposition must be that it requires asking questions perpetually.
So why does each of the commissioners get a Veracruz?
Good question, Mr Marlin!
Now it's my turn to ask... would you pose the same questions if you yourself were a commissioner?

Lost in faraway thoughts... or is he meditating?
LOL, opportunistic bastard.

You know, I must say that I also don't understand why it's necessary (especially now!) to give all the comm's a new Hyundai, for none of them seems to be in dire need of a new pollluter. Why not set a better example?

I am so sure there must have been a great and heavy debate about this particular decision.
Imagine the actors/politicians great resistance... No, I do not want another vehicle, absurd, I don't need one, I'll pass. Please, we can do better things with that bag of money.
I wonder if anyone had that much integrity?

FEWL,

Cass

Aesthetics

2009-08-19

In a previous blog I published a 25point list of impertinent questions. But, as I feared, it sadly bore the texture of a Dutch cheese, meaning: it was incomplete. This time (in an attempt to make it up to you), I will elaborate on the 26th point of my QWA list, which has a lot to do with aesthetics, architecture and the environment.

Why Twittering Remains a Pathetic Occupation

2009-08-18

Twitter is everywhere. It’s a site that allows you to post incremental bloggings, one sentence at a time. The idea was to post what you're doing all day, so that friends, family, or anyone who wanders across your page can get an idea of your daily schedule, your inner thoughts, and other things that no one really cares about.

QWA – Questions Without Answers

2009-08-13

The following list consists of questions I would - if I had the chance - put to the Government. The list will, of course, be incomplete and bear certain resemblances to a piece of Dutch cheese ...

Let's Go Digital!

While citizens know their way around on WWW, the St Maarten government plainly sucks at it.
